After more than seventy years of the Plus4's reign, the time has come for its successor. Not only the name of Plus Four refers to its predecessor, despite the fact that only a few parts share the same idea. However, in the case of the new Plus Four, this idea was redefined into the possibilities of the 21st century.
The new Morgan Plus Four gives completely new possibilities to the driver. The unique blend of low curb weight (only 1007 kg dry) and high power, generated by the BMW TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder engine with a capacity of two liters (255 hp) makes Plus Four consistently implements the philosophy of a real roadster.
Equipped with an automatic 8-speed gearbox it accelerates to 100 km / h in just 4.8 seconds, in the case of a manual gearbox the time is only 0.4s longer. The maximum speed was limited to 250 km / h. This performance puts the new model on par with the current Roadster model equipped with a 3.7-liter V6 engine.
Despite a 65% increase in power and torque, fuel consumption and CO2 emissions have been reduced.
The new CX-Generation platform, which debuted in the Plus Six model, guarantees much greater rigidity of the car, with additional weight reduction. Compared to the previously used steel frame, it also offers more space inside the vehicle while maintaining its external dimensions.
Driving experience is as important as performance. It’s up to you whether you decide on the advanced eight-speed automatic transmission, with comfort, sport, sport plus and manual modes. Or on a six-speed manual gearbox. Regardless of the option, the driving experience will be unforgettable.
Adjusting the wire wheels to the new double wishbone suspension was a huge challenge, but a talented team of engineers managed to cope with it. Aluminum rims are also available, both variants are available in many finishes.
The driver-oriented interior of the new Plus Four offers more space than ever before. Standard features previously unavailable on the Plus Four model include central locking and digital display, and newly introduced options include additional lighting and air conditioning.
